The app needed to feel supportive, not judgemental, a companion rather than a tracker. I restructured core flows to make key features like drink logging, goal setting and weekly progress more accessible and rewarding to use. Visual cues and messaging were carefully chosen to reinforce positive progress without overwhelming users. The interface was simplified, with a cleaner hierarchy, larger touch targets and more inclusive illustrations, all tailored for users trying to moderate their drinking in a realistic, non clinical way.
Alongside the UX and UI updates, I helped apply Drinkaware’s refreshed global brand system to the mobile experience for the first time. This involved translating colour palettes, typography and illustration styles into functional mobile components while preserving accessibility across light and dark modes. I worked closely with the brand and marketing teams to interpret their guidelines into a usable, scalable design system that supported clarity and emotional resonance in a health focused setting. The result is a consistent, user centred app experience that strengthens the brand’s presence across digital touchpoints.
